The Petzl Spin L1D is a pulley with an integrated swivel and a mobile side plate. The side plate can be easily opened even when anchored. Thanks to the large diameter of the sheave and the sealed ball bearings, the pulley has an efficiency of no less than 93%.
Mobile side plate with lock
The special feature of the Petzl Spin L1D is that the mobile side plate can be opened even when it is already anchored. To do this, press down the black locking button, which will reveal a red button. Then slide it upwards to open the pulley. The red button also serves as an indicator, allowing you to see at a glance whether the pulley is locked or not.
Integrated swivel
The integrated swivel at the top has a wide opening, making it suitable for multiple (up to 3) carabiners. The swivel rotates with the rope, preventing it from twisting and/or becoming tangled.
One direction of rotation
The disc only rotates in one direction (counter-clockwise), which is ideal when hoisting a load or using it in a hoist system. Please note: this does not function as a backstop!
