Cobra Abrasion Protection 2 T / 4 T

The Cobra Abrasion Protection 2 T / 4 T is a polypropylene braided hose designed to be pulled over the Cobra cable at the anchorage point in tree bracing systems. The sleeve prevents the cable from cutting into the branch under wind load, effectively reducing damage to both bark and rope. Abrasion Protection is available in two lengths (30 x 1200 mm and 30 x 2000 mm), allowing a suitable level of protection to be selected for each installation.

Protection of cable and branch
The braided hose forms a hard-wearing barrier between the Cobra cable and the branch, preventing friction and cutting when the crown moves. This extends the service life of the cable and minimises mechanical damage to the tree, particularly at the direct contact area at the anchorage point.

Easy installation and cut-to-length design
The hose is simply pulled over the cable at the contact point with the branch. The standard segments of 30 x 1200 mm and 30 x 2000 mm can be trimmed to the branch circumference using scissors, enabling precise, project-specific fitting.
