The Skalt Substito Scaff is a single lanyard with integrated shock absorber, certified to EN 354 / EN 355 and designed for professional fall protection systems. The lanyard is intended as part of a fall-arrest or fall-restraint system with an energy absorber, for work at height from man baskets, mobile elevating work platforms or on roofs, where a controlled fall distance and sufficient clearance must be ensured.
Single lanyard with integrated shock absorber
The Substito Scaff is a single lanyard that is always used in combination with the integrated shock absorber. In the event of a fall, the absorber reduces impact forces to a maximum of 6 kN, keeping the load on the user’s body within acceptable limits and reducing the risk of serious injury.
Engineered fall distance and safe clearance
The combination of lanyard, shock absorber and total system length is dimensioned for a free clearance of approximately 6.25–6.50 m below the user, including a safety margin. The lanyard is designed for horizontal movement during work at height, with the anchor point positioned as high as possible to minimise the fall factor.
