Petzl Oscillante is a lightweight emergency pulley with moving side plates, designed for use in improvised haul systems and crevasse rescue. The combination of aluminium side plates and a recycled nylon sheave provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The wide attachment point accepts most locking carabiners and supports efficient rope travel within the specified diameter range.
Swinging side plates for quick installation
The swinging side plates allow the pulley to be installed quickly on the rope without fully dismantling the system. This is particularly useful in rescue situations or temporary haul setups where speed and simplicity are critical.
Strong and compact emergency tool
Thanks to its aluminium construction and recycled nylon sheave, the Oscillante is very compact and weighs only 38 g, while remaining strong enough for emergency and auxiliary systems within the stated working load. The self-lubricating bushings provide suitable efficiency for emergency use.
